Celebrate running at Sussex RunFest 2025—a perfect blend of movement, learning, and connection.
ticket InfoSussex RunFest 2025 is a community running and wellbeing festival. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just getting started, there’s something here for you.
Group running and games, strength and conditioning classes, run-focused yoga.
Inspiring and practical talks, mobility testing and injury workshops.
Live music and an awesome weekend with the running community.
Sussex RunFest isn’t a training camp. It’s a 'choose-your-own-adventure' weekend for anyone who loves running, movement, and feeling good – in body and in mind.
Some people will come for a day. Some will go all in. Others will dip in, dip out, and let the weekend carry them along.
Whether you’re training for a goal, finding your feet, or just love a good weekend of movement, music, and connection – RunFest is your space to explore, enjoy, and make your own.
However you choose to RunFest, the weekend is yours to shape. Here's what that could look like...
Jess signs up with her running friends but secretly just wants a relaxed weekend with good vibes.
Friday: She arrives in time for the Stretch into the Weekend session at The Movement studio, then joins the Rave Run – fancy dress unicorn horn and all – and ends the night with a beer and a laugh at the Hop Sun.
Saturday: She skips the morning run for a lie-in and coffee, then walks over for the 11am yoga class, followed by an injury prevention workshop. After a late lunch, she’s front row for the “Mind Over Miles” talk and cheers on the Beer Mile, drink in hand.
Sunday: Jess joins the Solstice Run + Yoga combo (her highlight), then browses the kit swap before a final drink in the sun at The Hop Sun. Bliss.
Mark is training for a summer marathon and wants to test his legs, meet other runners, and soak up motivation.
Friday: After arriving from Brighton, Mark drops off some kit at the swap, then joins the Rave Run. It’s not speedy, but it’s fun – and a great warm-up for the weekend.
Saturday: He kicks off with James Cooper’s hill-focused run, then heads to back-to-back strength classes. After lunch, he hits the foot and ankle clinic, then grabs a seat for James’ talk. Later, he’s convinced to join the Beer Mile… and doesn’t regret it. Much.
Sunday: He’s up for the 7.5k Solstice Run, then joins the breathwork session to learn some race-day focus. The treasure hunt? He’s all over it. Mark heads home with tired legs and a full heart.
Tasha lives nearby and isn’t sure if she’s “enough of a runner” for a festival – but she’s curious. She books a Saturday-only pass to dip her toe in.
Morning: She arrives at 9am, grabs a coffee, and chats with other runners at the Hop Sun. She joins a gentle social run, chatting as they explore – and surprises herself with how much she enjoys it.
Midday: After a snack, she heads to a strength class suitable for beginners and then joins a yoga session focusing on recovery and flexibility.
Afternoon: She sits in on Charlotte Ricca’s “Mind Over Miles” talk. Afterwards, she speaks to another solo runner and ends up signing up to the Beer Mile – “just to try.”
Evening: One fizzy drink and a chaotic sprint later, Tasha’s cheering on her new friends. When the band kicks off, she’s already checking the dates for next year.
Alex loves to pack it all in but can’t spare the whole weekend.
Early Morning: She kicks off with a welcome coffee, then immediately joins James Cooper’s run – all about resilience and conquering hills, to prime both body and mind for the day ahead.
Midday: No downtime here. Alex moves into back-to-back strength and conditioning classes, then it’s into a foot and ankle clinic to fine-tune running mechanics.
Afternoon: After a quick refuel, she dives into a physio's workshop, gaining personalised drills to strengthen key muscle groups. Then, it’s over to Charlotte Ricca’s “Mind Over Miles” talk to learn effective mental strategies, followed by James Cooper speaking about running a marathon every day in 2024!
Evening: Alex puts it all together in the Beer Mile relay. Afterwards, she winds down to live music and chatting at the Hop Sun.
Dan’s weekend is busy, but he’s carved out Sunday for some movement, mindset, and fresh air.
Morning: He rolls into town for the early Solstice run and yoga session – a gentle 7.5k followed by a restorative outdoor class and sunshine with coffee in hand.
Late morning: After a chat at the Hop Sun, he joins the breathwork workshop and sticks around for a talk on mental health in the running community – something he’s been wanting to explore more.
Afternoon: When the Treasure Hunt kicks off, Dan joins a team of strangers and ends up laughing his way around town. As the weekend winds down, he’s sipping a drink at the Hop Sun and already planning to come back next year.
